Dr. Kim LaHaise, Ph.D
Dr. Kim LaHaise joined Child and Family Therapy Associates in June, 2015. She is a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with adults and older adolescents. She is invested in combining a client’s self-knowledge with her own biopsychosocial approach and evidence-based treatments to help achieve the best health possible. Dr. LaHaise has extensive experience in psychological evaluation and treatment of eating disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, personality disorders, and managing chronic medical illness. She provides psychological evaluations prior to possible bariatric surgery or implant of spinal cord stimulators or intrathecal pain pumps. She also provides psychotherapy for post-surgical mood/adjustment difficulties. Dr. LaHaise conducts psychological testing as needed and typically incorporates some type of behavioral monitoring between therapy sessions to assess an individual’s progress.
Dr. LaHaise received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. After completing her internship in Clinical Psychology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS, she completed post-doctoral training in Health Psychology at the Family Medicine Department at the Mississippi Medical Center. She has been practicing in North Dakota for the past 15 years. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and extended family and friends, as well as reading, gardening, and music.
